YOUR BIG DAY

Firstly, my congratulations to you both, and I wish you all the best for the future. This is your day, and it is important to feel comfortable and relaxed with your photographer, so if you have any questions you would like to ask, or would just like a chat about your requirements, please feel free to contact me.



MY APPROACH

My photojournalistic style means that I am able to capture the unique moments that occur during your big day. I create a personal documentation from the bride and bridegrooms viewpoint. A creative blend of beautifully presented contemporary portraits and group shots mixed up with off the wall intimate moments that will allow you to recapture your memories.



PACKAGES

Portfolios start at £1195. The service is the same throughout all portfolios, but vary in the amount of time spent at your wedding and the amount of images you will receive. All portfolios include a Hi-Res CD of all edited images, Contact Sheets and an online area for viewing and print purchase.

  • Portfolio 1 - 4 hours - Up to 250 edited images on CD
  • Portfolio 2 - 8 hours - Up to 450 edited images on CD
  • Portfolio 3 - 10 hours - Up to 600 edited images on CD

Hi-Res CD

All the images are carefully selected and edited, and approximately one month after the wedding a high resoulution CD of all edited images is presented to the bride and groom.

Contact Sheets

You will also receive a boxed set of all your edited images displayed as contact sheets. This is a great way to enjoy your images with friends and family prior to having your album designed and manufactured.

Web

All edited images are uploaded to my web site for family and friends to view with the option to purchase if they wish. Perfect for those abroad who were unable to make the special day.



ALBUMS

I offer two options for your album, The Story Book and the world famous Queensberry Album. They are both lovley products and it just comes down to taste as to which one you will choose. There are also options for smaller albums for parents, family and friends. Please ask for details.

The Story Book

13" x 11" - The Story Book is just like any hard backed book you would buy in a book shop. Professionally designed in-house, you can choose your favourite photographs and unique text for the front and back covers. This book is a great way to show a selection of the best moments from your wedding.

The Queensberry Album

12" x 12" - Widely recognised as one of the premier wedding albums in the world the Queensberry comes with fully customisable pages. Once you have chosen your favourite images from your big day the album is designed very much in conjunction with you to create a bespoke document to treasure.

IN THE STUDIO

Bookings can be made for any day of the week, evenings and weekends. The shoot itself lasts around 45 minutes at my Bath studio. It's a good idea to bring favourite toys and changes of clothes or even fancy dress for the kids, but you don't need to.

After the shoot it takes about a week to prepare the pictures ready for you to view. I am extremely flexible about requirements. You can have prints with or without frames, of any size in a whole host of formats, including canvas, acrylic, and even wallpaper. There is no hard sell so you don't need to feel any pressure to purchase.



ON LOCATION

Take advantage of the beautiful Bath surroundings. How do you fancy taking a picnic or just getting out on location with the children and getting something a bit different. Call the studio and we can arrange a time and place.

BEAUTY IN FASHION

I have been shooting fashion and beauty images alongside my weddings and portraiture for the past few years. The images viewed on line have been shot in collaboration with make up artist Ami Penfold. She is an accredited make up artist having worked alongside some of the biggest names in the industry. We have worked hard together to create these new and exiting images which we look forward to developing further.

PROFILE

My dad was a photographer and as a result I was always surrounded by cameras and photography. On my 8th birthday he bought me my first camera which was a Polaroid. I took to it like a duck to water and was always snapping at family gatherings and outings. My love of photography burgeoned over the years and I have now been involved at a professional level for the past 15 years. To hone my skills and acquire a greater depth of knowledge I spent several years assisting a number of photographers shooting a wide range of subjects from fashion to large scale industrial installations. This took me as far afield as North America and Eastern Europe. I also spent time assisting a master photographic printer in London who worked for such luminaries as David Bailey, Mario Testino, Rankin and Tom Stoddart.

After seeing my personal reportage photography shot on the streets of Spain, Greece, New Zealand and Australia a couple who are close friends approached me to shoot their wedding. I approached this in much the same intuitive method that I employ to this day and the end result was a peronalised picture story of their day. It was very well received and resulted in a Bath & Bristol wedding magazine featuring the photographs in an editorial piece about my work.

This was the start of my career as a wedding photographer. Having always expressed my self through photography and imagery it was not surprising that I found that I drew a great deal of excitement and satisfaction from shooting weddings. The special atmosphere of the day lends itself to those unique moments that I love to capture. There is also the satisfaction that I get from having a couple contact me to thank me for having brought those special moments back to life, upon receiving their album.

My work has been published by the BBC, The Guardian, Guardian Motoring Magazine, The Times Life Style magazine, You and Your Wedding and various other wedding and photography magazines.

I have been fortunate to have been asked to photograph weddings at some of the countries finest venues including: 40/30; The Gherkin London; Babbington House, Somerset; Home House; 20 Portman Square, London; The Royal Horse Guards Hotel, Whitehall, London; Westminster Cathedral; Inner Temple, London; The Royal Crescent Hotel, Bath.

I currently live in the small Wiltshire market town of Corsham with Helen and my 4 children. My studio is centrally located in the city of Bath.

  • Q: Do you charge VAT?
    A: I am registered for VAT, and all prices displayed include VAT.

  • Q: If we book you are we guaranteed to get you, (Lee Niel) on the day.
    A: Yes, I am the only photographer.

  • Q: What is the usual turnaround?
    A: Images are uploaded to my web site approx 4 weeks after the wedding. You will receive the Hi-Res CD with contact sheets a week later.

  • Q: Are you insured?
    A: Yes, I am fully insured.

  • Q: What photography format(s) do you use?
    A: I shoot digitally using professional cameras and lenses. I feel digital is more flexible in terms of creating more interesting, varied photographs for you.

  • Q: How do I obtain a bespoke quotation if none of your packages suit me?
    A: I suggest that you initially email or phone me, providing as much information as you can (e.g. location, length of coverage). I can then prepare a quotation for you. Alternatively, we could arrange a meeting to discuss your requirements in person.

  • Q: Am I able to get prints from my complimentary CD?
    A: Yes. The CD I provide, of your photographs at high-resolution, is yours to keep. The photographs are of good enough quality to obtain large prints from. Although I have the original copyright, you are able to use the images on your CD freely and how ever you wish.

  • Q: What are Story Books?
    A: Story books are increasingly popular nowadays. Rather than traditional albums where photographic prints are mounted onto pages, your photographs are printed directly onto the pages of the story book.

  • Q: Do you only cover the Bath area?
    A: No. Although I am Bath based, I photograph weddings and civil ceremonies throughout the whole of the south west and London.
